Game 2 yes lol . I think a lot of why people are so upset about Joel dying and are Joelers is because of their relation to whiteness and accountability. Which is why I mention Marlene. They care or Game 2 gets you to care about a Doctor who forces an operation he is white and it is no longer a dirty hospital it is clean but murdering Marlene in cold blood is rarely mentioned as too far or the breaking point for people. I think I never really cared about Joel dying because I am all for white men paying for their crimes

The violence is supposed to unnerve you and be disturbing. I think it's essential for the tone of Part 2.

Oh I am saying yes everyone dies. I am saying for why people feel or cope with Joel's death differently. Sarah and Tess people were sad . Its not about relating along the lines of race but character. Sam and Henry got more in this. I am overall agreeing with you. S*** happens to everyone which is why I am glad they cast whoever for the roles

Unsure if they are gonna amp up the violence in season 2 to match that games tone. But in season 1 the violence matches game 1’s tone.:. It really isn’t all that violent (compared to other games of the time, like gears, and GOW)

From 17-20 minutes they say kind of the same thing I have been saying about Joel and Ellie which again isn't bad its just different

I think the violence hits the mark when its supposed to, like Henry/Sam and Sara. Tess's death was just stupid. Everything else fits the first game's tone like @Kr0niic said. Tess should've executed Robert like she did in the game though to hammer home how brutality is necessary to survive in this world.

2 is way darker with a focus on the endless circle of violence/revenge

He’s laying on his left side with his right ear up… the same ear that Ellie says he can’t her well with and the same ear he had up when Henry and Sam snuck up on them

compared to those games no but last of us 1 the game is much more violent than this season. I am not saying whether that is a good or bad thing I am just saying they are different shades. I don't know if we need hyper violence to deliver the ending or deliver the message this season. Do I think Season 2 if its hyper violent will connect who knows. They have been showing the results of violence or off camera violence much more than on screen. The question they ask on kinda funny kind of is about this. But once you get to a great deal of human on human violence will it get the same core audience that came for the emotion and drama
