Even those who never played the game complain about it. I got my homie who's never played the TLOU series and is just interested in the show so I always ask for his opinion after each episode since he knows nothing about the story and he thinks it's soooo overly dramatic like there's stuff going on with the story but they tell it and move on immediately like it's filler just to focus on the drama aspect and how sad the characters feel. He's normally not one to complain about pacing but I agree with him.

I've played the games, all the thrill that was in the Bill arc and the first bloater u encounter, the ambush with joel and ellie in the car, Sam and Joel getting stuck in that little school bunker while zombies attack them...why cut ALL of that like at least keep one event and tell it like it is then cut the others....
Even when a bloater appeared in the show they made it appear for like 10 secs and vanish... why are you undermining the major moments in the game??? Like "oh yeah here's that part yall loved, anyway let's move on now" Then you get 10 minutes of Ellie questioning the world or some s*** for dramatic effect. It feels like they never watched the show while making it.

When the episode with the ambush came on I was like oh s*** it's GOTTA BE heating up then I was left with the biggest blue balls, same s*** with the bloater, same s*** with Kathleen... Something is wrong and I'm sure it ain't the budget.

Ngl I might be the reason he’s sticking with his show every episode I’m like “THIS NEXT ONE THO, YOU AIN’T READY” and s*** like that since I know what happens next in the story but still, I like the show, but I consider it a little bit underwhelming or unbalanced like that tweet said. It feels like they’re holding back some of that action we saw a lot of in the games.

Emotional scenes in this show have more grip for me than the action anyways. Joel and Ellie Confrontation scene this episode gave me more adrenaline that any action scene shown

I feel like so far in the show they have kept the best and most important parts of the game, only thing that has been cut is Joel killing waves of enemies
