Like I said, it’s clear Craig wasn’t interested in adapting the big action set pieces. He cares more about how the characters are feeling in that moment rather than the actual action itself. The show is fueled by emotion
But the show still must be good enough for your friend if he is still sticking around and watching every week
I feel like the show is an 8.5-9 but with a little bit of readjustment and some (not a lot) more action it could’ve been a 9.5
Great to see that cast is hype about adapting Part 2

@Kr0niic …Neil??
You know too much
Even those who never played the game complain about it. I got my homie who's never played the TLOU series and is just interested in the show so I always ask for his opinion after each episode since he knows nothing about the story and he thinks it's soooo overly dramatic like there's stuff going on with the story but they tell it and move on immediately like it's filler just to focus on the drama aspect and how sad the characters feel. He's normally not one to complain about pacing but I agree with him.
I've played the games, all the thrill that was in the Bill arc and the first bloater u encounter, the ambush with joel and ellie in the car, Sam and Joel getting stuck in that little school bunker while zombies attack them...why cut ALL of that like at least keep one event and tell it like it is then cut the others....
Even when a bloater appeared in the show they made it appear for like 10 secs and vanish... why are you undermining the major moments in the game??? Like "oh yeah here's that part yall loved, anyway let's move on now" Then you get 10 minutes of Ellie questioning the world or some s*** for dramatic effect. It feels like they never watched the show while making it.
When the episode with the ambush came on I was like oh s*** it's GOTTA BE heating up then I was left with the biggest blue balls, same s*** with the bloater, same s*** with Kathleen... Something is wrong and I'm sure it ain't the budget.
Be careful bro they’ll accuse you of hate posting

bro your complaint was the side characters were not hot enough for your liking
he actually vocalizes what he doesnt like

That wasn’t my only complaint and you know it

Ngl I might be the reason he’s sticking with his show
every episode I’m like “THIS NEXT ONE THO, YOU AIN’T READY” and s*** like that since I know what happens next in the story but still, I like the show, but I consider it a little bit underwhelming or unbalanced like that tweet said. It feels like they’re holding back some of that action we saw a lot of in the games.

If he’s not feeling the show, I’d say there’s no reason for him to stick with it tbh
If he’s looking for a lot of action, he’s just not going to find it in this show, and I don’t think the next episode will change his mind on how he feels about the show having a lack of action set pieces
I definitely get how people wanna see more action, but by now it’s clear that wasn’t what the show runners wanted to do for this adaptation

good
action been the worst part!
Emotional scenes in this show have more grip for me than the action anyways. Joel and Ellie Confrontation scene this episode gave me more adrenaline that any action scene shown
Action bros when next episode is ellie and a girl walking through a mall for 1 hour

I feel like so far in the show they have kept the best and most important parts of the game, only thing that has been cut is Joel killing waves of enemies
Which makes sense to me . He’s old as hell lmao

I feel the exact same. They are keeping what made the first game special (to me). Expanding on the drama and the characters, and cutting many enemy encounters.
I like it this way, and they are doing a great job.

They are not gonna like this next episode lolll.
Even though episode 7 is going to have the best character development for any character in the show so far . And it seems like it will go wayyy more in depth than the game did
