the payoff for the episode was so good. S*** could have just been a standalone with no context and existed just like the bill and frank one. A good concise story

I’m a big fan of this show but Episode 7 has some of the worst camera angles and lighting I’ve ever seen

So after letting it sit a day, I think I can say now that it was my fav episode so far, which is saying a lot because I love this show.

Nit pick though — I remember Craig talking about on the podcast for episode 6 how they changed how the Raiders attacked Joel because they wanted to make it seem more realistic. I kinda got a bone to pick with how they pick back up on it in this episode though if they’re trying to be realistic…man loses a s*** ton of blood for, what, 30 minutes to an hour, maybe more, and stays conscious? Then we’re supposed to believe that he’s going to survive because he gets a rough stitch job with no antiseptic applied to the wound? I mean maybe the next episode they’re going to get antibiotics the second the episode starts somehow. But that still doesn’t explain how he’ll live without the possibility of a blood transfusion. If they were going for believable, I just thought they could have done a better job with that. Still amazing episode and super powerful watching Ellie stitch him though.

Don’t think the event leading up to Ellie’s bite counts as filler. Especially when the episode revolves around the reason why Ellie struggles with survivor’s guilt (which will play a major part later on)

Last of Us 2 gets very Uncharted at a point lol
