I do wonder if Ellie left Riley behind or killed her before she turned. I’m guessing she was her first kill.

Hoping they have a part 2 of this some point and not leave that part unexplained

As much as it may be unnecessary to show the direct act of killing Riley. Her seeing the moment Riley turned or waking up every day thinking she would turn and questioning why would have added to this episode feeling worthwhile. But Bella did good regardless.

Finally finished part 2 I think as I had been guessing they will be able to flesh out parts of it in show better than in game. They definitely going to need the cold opens and to shift perspectives from WLF, Seraphites, Abby , Ellie. Like its possible but its a lot of moving parts

I guess being bit and having her best friend bit was already traumatic but to see her witness Riley transforming/ed while realizing nothing is happening to her and then having to kill would be pretty interesting

don't even have to show the kill itself so much as after Joel's amount of trauma from Sarah's death by government and Sam trauma of his first kill being his brother. Bella being chill and goofy after killing Riley her first kiss , possible first love and that situation is just kind of like "okay I guess ". I know DLC has always laid it out like this. I am just speaking on in show and reality a child processing that much trauma while not showing quite enough signs of it all season. I would have had her play Ellie a lil different with the DLC in focus more than game 2 or season 2 plot

Ehh children are complicated enough, I feel like the show has done a good job in the past two episodes to have the audience thinking about the possibility of her being so goofy as a coping mechanism. Because when something goes wrong, she either f\*\*\*ing loses it & lets all that cropped up emotion out in tears or pure rage

Ngl kinda disappointed with this show but all will be forgiven if they can stick the landing with these last 2 episodes

I really liked this show, but then I played through the 1st game and some of the 2nd between ep5-7, and while I don’t think it’s bad I don’t think it measures up. Understandably it can’t be as in-depth with the character moments but I do think the criticisms about Joel being “weaker” and Ellie almost being comic relief are legitimate. Like the show is a solid 6-7/10 but then 1st game and what I’ve played of the 2nd are both 10/10 and I’m not even a gamer like that.

But as much as it misses the mark, it also does a great job with some things the games don’t have as much time or the mechanics to explore. Like the 3rd episode was definitely the best one (so far) and they couldn’t have done that in a game.

Tbf ellie definitely fits into the category of comic relief in game 1 thougg

Joel in episode 8 after ellie mixes a bottle of rubbing alcohol with some dish rags

Nearly think doing a show of episode 3, cold open stories like stories from notes would hit if tension or gameplay elements not their strong shut but I’m giving them episodes 8 and 9

That’s why I understand people being upset she is made more violent less childhood whimsy . Those obsessing over her looks dumb though .

Joel weak complaints stupid IMO. Its a different medium. if you want joel to be the terminator. play the game

Joel is undeniably “ weaker “ it’s a matter of if having him be weaker is worth the “ realism “ and if any part of show or game is realistic enough to nerf him to this degree . Also does him being less violent up until this part in anyway affect or take away from story

Ill chime in and answer your last question. Up to this point in the game no it doesnt at all.

BUT it does effect episodes 8 and 9. My prediction is there will be a snap / flip. I do think we WILL see interrogation scene
