    I would like to think the theme for part 3 would be redemption.

    Maybe we'll see Ellie link up with Tommy to find Dina. And Abby is just doing her best to move on from losing so much and trying to make her life meaningful again .

    Or maybe Abby and Ellie could cross paths again but they are forced to team up , but throughout the game there is a huge struggle between them. They cant get along, and cant see eye to eye on how to do s***.

    i think we already saw the redemption arcs for most of the characters in part 2 tbh

    Ellie witnessed something horrendous and she has severe PTSD because of it, of course she is having flashbacks that effect her.

    And having Ellie and Abby lose everything is the whole point, hate drove them both over the edge and they lost so much because of it.

    So you were unsatisfied with the end because Ellie lost everything???
    That was the lesson she had to deal with for not moving on.

    Honestly when you put it that way im just upset with how stubborn Ellie was and also ungretful.

    If there is a part 3 I hope it's a prequel to what happened with Joel and his daughter explaining the whole outbreak.

    Yea, a part 3 isnt necessary at all.
    But once again Naughty Dog has left the narratives wide open that leaves room for more story. I'm sure they purposely did that to have the option of doing another sequel if they decide to do one.

    But man I cant lie and say that I'm not really interested in what happens next in Ellie and Abby's story. Does Ellie find Dina? How is Abby able to defend herself in this world now that she's lost her muscle and her will to fight?

    I was watching an interview and Neil confirmed that Abby and Lev made it to Catalina Island which I guess is a safe haven for fireflies. I feel that gives enough closure to that arc. As for Ellie, he said it’s up to the player’s imagination on where she’s going by the end. Obviously to each their own, but I personally don’t feel that it matters whether or not she finds Dina because at that point it’s becoming a soap opera/drama - not necessarily an overarching story worth telling through a whole video game.

    Abby's arms are one of the dopest aspects of the game, lol. How is anybody complaining about them s***s. Don't even want to pick up a weapon so enemies can catch these hands.

    I'm convinced that the people who criticize this story are the same kind who would say that MM FURY ROAD plot was trash; or watch a Paul Thomas Anderson movie and complain that it has no plot.

    I mean... basics.
