I cannot imagine it in the US anytime soon. Europe, though? It is very viable in Europe. Whilst I am a communist, I have chilled a lot in recent years and look for viable options. Right now, a viable option is something like the UK Labour party looked under Corbyn. I think that is a realistic goal for most countries within Europe. Not ideal, but a great start to showing the electorate the benefits of socialism. In the US? No chance. The US is just such a tough task.
