    2017 was kinda the send off for some of the doper acts from the early 2010s (X, Rocky, Bronson, ASAP’s wave in general, arguably Tyler (at least as a rapper first), etc)

    But after 2017, yeah. The bubble gum trap just became too prominent and once that fell off, there hasn’t been a wave to replace it
