Figured I’d post this on here. Been thinking a lot about Ye and his legacy musically since Vultures 1 dropped. I’m of the mindset that “The New Kanye” ended with Donda and we now are living in the Post-Kanye era. Everything now no longer is a significant body of work and it’s surviving mostly because of the name attached to it. I think this is because after Donda, he had nothing left to say.
Let me know what you think. Sorry if this comes off as shamelessly plugging (it is) but I think it’s a conversation worth having.

There's no canon ending to ye, he's still alive, if he made something that you liked now you'd probably change your tune
He's not jay z or andre 3000 so why expect him to move like them, he's always going to make music and it's always going to reflect the state he's in whether you enjoy it or not, that's how he works.

Yea thats a weird ass comment
Just appreciate hes still alive

Literally Kanye being dropped to move to Ye is a canon end lol
Really agree with this take. It doesn't feel right to compare this Ye to the past two decades of Ye. It doesn't compare
He made 2 albums it seems like he really didn’t take too serious as collabs with Ty I don’t think it’s that deep

The issues with those albums are continuations of what was making his solo music increasingly s***ty before then

I loved Donda and thought it was TLOP quality but I digress
