You saying this ain't Donda Ye?
!https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YWh3vAo9Rwwaccording to mike dean it literally is ahahaha
In my own delusional Ye stan brain, I like to think the canon ending to Ye was either when he was lifted to "heaven" at the end of the LP2 of Donda, or the Hoover concert.
thats how i frame it in the video actually ahaha
He's not jay z or andre 3000 so why expect him to move like them, he's always going to make music and it's always going to reflect the state he's in whether you enjoy it or not, that's how he works.
yeah but at the same time, i havent seen him evolve or explore since Donda. I’ve made my peace with Vultures 1, it has a lot of enjoyable parts but every time I listen to it, it feels so empty. I’ve never felt that listening to a Kanye album, even something like Jesus Is King.
Always gonna root for him to make something great though. I want whatever is next to prove me wrong (will not be called Bully lol)
Really agree with this take. It doesn't feel right to compare this Ye to the past two decades of Ye. It doesn't compare
when i was writing the video id listen to Vultures 2, then throw on Dark Fantasy and just be like what the hell happened here lmao
i remember people saying that anything after ye (album) - was post-ye
idk man i feel you but i just think he's a weird dude who makes a lot of artistic turns

His childhood home catching fire with himself in it was a send off moment to me

We'll have to wait till ye-2 or ye - tournament edition to see how the lore interconnects unfortunately :/
