This s*** was like if Cole announced a new album and then no one cared

“Xbox for Kojima”
What’s in the box
insane how ps5 about to touch 100m units and has basically no exclusives
xbox fumble must be studied

It’s just basic consumerism mixed with tribalism
Xbox one launch fumbled plus bad press leading to loss of goodwill amongst consumers
Everyone buys PS4
Digital game era begins, people build digital libraries on PlayStation
Nobody wants to lose their digital collection and everyone already has PlayStation so might as well get PS5 even though it’s a weaker console with a worse online experience and features

Always maintained the Series X is a better console + overall offering than PS5
Xbox are idiots

Xbox is the same though, so it’s not really a differentiator. It’s just not important, if it was then all the ps5 games that came to PC wouldn’t have come to PC.

Gamers also getting sick of the Sony open world Ubisoft type games (Spiderman, Ghost, Horizon) and The Walking Dad simulators. Microsoft has so many developers/IPs under their belt. They really should be doing better than they are

I own both, use my PS more
Can't tell you why but PS has just been a more 'fun' experience to game on
Primarily use Xbox for Cod and halo and even that is rare these days

things would be different right now if they called it the xbox 720

According to Xbox CEO Asha Sharma, Project Helix, which she announced in March as a codename for Microsoft's "next generation console" — phrasing that seemingly implied a singular device — will actually be a "family" of devices."
"We've been hard at work on a great next generation and a great family of devices for Helix, and we'll share more soon," Sharma told BBC News. She shared the answer after being asked if Helix will be a discless console. She didn't answer that, but this week Microsoft announced a program for digitizing your physical games.

Probably continuing with the framework at the ROG Ally and X laid down, especially considering the Xbox play anywhere initiative where games work on both PC and Xbox from the same listing in store

One thing I’ve always loved about PlayStation is their UI. My PS3 felt like the most luxurious yet alien technology in that era. They really just know how to make their UI feel ultra premium in my opinion.

Microsoft and Sony both want a switch
This reminds me of the Wii days when Microsoft made Kinect and Sony made PS Move, Nintendo always the trendsetter, even from the beginning really

They really dropped the ball on both of those devices long term lol, can’t even imagine how well Kinect would’ve worked if it lasted to the era of VR and was paired with a spatial headset for monitor that uses the XBOX as the console. Could’ve really had some level of gaming that’s akin to spike jonzes’ her

One of XBOX’s strengths is making their software compatible everywhere as much as possible—that disc-to-digital program that they just announced solves the issue of making your physicals playable on a portable console.
A dedicated portable by Microsoft themselves has been rumoured for a while; it was said to be cancelled and then back in development.
I’m tired of being in limbo on whether it’ll actually happen or not lol

Remember they even tried to beat Wii U to the punch with 'SmartGlass' for XBOX and PlayStation immediately jumping in on Vita being a close companion to your PS console lmao
A portable PS6 has me really interested though. I wonder if it’ll be able to output 60fps for the same games that Switch 2 can’t 👀

Pretty crazy that they kept dumping millions into VR/AR and the public just did not care for it (Sony, Apple, Meta, etc.)
That s***’s never gonna take off lol
I probably would’ve copped a PS VR2 headset if PlayStation didn’t abandon it
