Shift the paradigm for what the general audience considers a worthy blockbuster action film/franchise in the 2020’s
Meaning people expections of what can be filmed/shown in a movie will be shattered
Just gonna make this thread as a way of saying I called it.
:word:
Ps I know folks gonna come itt hating but I guarantee almost everyone gonna line up to see that movie when it eventually come out
The original movie was a success for the visuals, not the basic story/characters. The visuals for the next film will be unprecedented
Cameron has never failed.
See both y’all niggas understand vision when it come to film
He’s also compared the new films to The Godfather so hopefully that mean the story will be way more complex/interesting then the original 2009 film
When all he has to compete with is MCU and DCEU capeshit, the task doesn't really seem that difficult.
crazy how fellers immediately made it about 'MCU shills"without anyone even mentioning MCU itt !
anyways !
these could be classics, cameron does not miss, but do have to wait on more info, just better CGI won't be enough to do the trick imo, needs to have something special

Exactly bro
Peoples bar is so low now because of the over saturation of basic super hero action movies
Don’t get me wrong, I love DC and Marvel but when James Cameron drops it’s a different feeling
You know he’s gonna do something to push the envelope. He even did it with Alita and he only produced it
Cameron is going to give people something new to look forward to and I’m hype for it

Alita is what really set it stone for me that man is finna s*** on the game with the next avatar
The visual of Alita are insane and it’s just his production team that worked on alita.
Cameron is the god. Not just on a blockbuster experience level but on a mythic storytelling level
Avatar was kind of a misstep for the story but that doesn’t erase everything great he’s done. Interested in seeing what he does for Avatar 2. I’m sure he knows what flaws from the first need to be fixed, not to mention he’s well known as the sequel GOAT

U ain’t said 1 lie
He a god filmmaker, hopefully they fix they biggest misstep with the 2009 avatar and actually have compelling characters and a great story. If they able to do that then avatar 2 will be goated 🤷🏽♂️

MCU is literally the standard for blockbusters lol ofc people are going to bring it up especially when every other YouTube critic has done a 180 on Avatar and repeat the same boring critiques about it while slavishly pushing every Marvel event film as the peak of blockbuster greatness.
Avatar paved the way for gonzo blockbusters and I wish there were more of them being made.
Love Cameron and excited for this but it’ll be crazy seeing Sam Worthington as the lead of one of the biggest movies of the year again

You talking that talk my nigga I couldn’t agree more.
Aye but atleast we getting I think 3 more avatar films. Maybe this new avatar trilogy will shift the industry enough to where more studios follow the James Cameron blueprint rather then the Marvel blueprint
U know what I mean?

I don't care about the MCU but I can't stand the film buffs that complain about it constantly because they're even worse than the fan boys. Rent free
