That’s f***ing awesome! I was going to see them live at Austin City Limits in 2009, but MCA Adam Yauch got diagnosed with cancer literally two months prior to the concert i would’ve loved to have seen them, they’re chemistry & energy always looks so infectious

This is one of the most legendary performances imo. As Rock is 1000% me when I’m hyped on coffee

When Cypress Hill comes out it just takes it to a whole new level

Hello Nasty was the first cassette I ever owned, Paul’s Boutique was the first CD I ever owned.

  • Anyone read their book? Two of my favorite stories:

    • During the recording of either Check Your Head or Ill Communication, Q-Tip and Afrika Baby Bam used to carry out a heated basketball rivalry with one another at the Beasties’ studio in LA (there was a skate ramp and a basketball hoop in the live room). The only problem was Tip and Afrika would usually play each other after taking mushrooms and without changing out of their Timbs, so it was allegedly just airball after airball.
    • The day after Awesome, I F***ing Shot That! was filmed, MCA returned all of the cameras he’d handed out to fans to shoot it and got all of his money back.

At first Paul’s Boutique was my favorite because it was all rap songs but the songs were all better than the songs on Licensed to Ill, then as I got older I gradually realized just how good it really is.
Hello Nasty I will always love, though, since it was my first album ever and I remember when it was literally the only thing I had to listen to.
