IPhones would not exist if we were in communism, IOS came as an alternative to the massively popular and already existing android

Exactly. We’d have one s***ty subsidized phone & OS bc nobody would even be incentivized to innovate & continue innovation

you kind of run into a paradox when you discuss landlords in the frame of capitalism where landlords are parasitic under liberal capitalism but because liberal capitalism inherently precedes socialist or communist frameworks, the transfer of land whether to a state or to a communal framework doesn't actually fix the issue, it basically just moves the boundaries of differentiation of personal and socialized propert(ies); both in terms of individual and cultural senses (not even taking into account how the concept of a vanguard complicates this even more). this has always been one of the stumbling blocks of theory for me, where I don't think any real revolutionary or left philosopher has made a convincing argument without relying on circular logic at one point.

They are arguing over who they want to be oppressed by

The new ideology would be that of socialism lol, i already admitted there would be violence. those platofrms would be seized by force, since they aren't just going to step down. the entire system and the pillars it stands on need to and will be abolished.

okay but given the location of capital/power at present there's no guarantee a 'seizure by force' would be successful right? like if anything it's more likely the working class 'loses' and is subject to even more cruelty by the upper class than at present.

fwiw i dont think the possibility of failure should preclude such an effort but saying 'those platforms would be seized by force' is pretty fking optimistic. i think 'revolution' in modern times differs greatly in concept and plausibility than in the past a la french/russian revs. not only because of how capital is more concentrated than ever before and advances in tech but also because of how fragmented the working class is.

Please don’t ban paw patrol. Just tell the people that it’s old capitalist propaganda if you want.

Why would you be afraid of people being influenced by capitalist propaganda if the system you currently have is so perfect already? That’s like my girlfriend blocking all the hotties off my socials cuz she afraid I’ll cheat if i see them.

well thats precisely why i don't actually care to talk about that kind of stuff at length because you're right, we don't know what its going to look like/how it will be done/implemented. we can only guess. but some people latch onto and make bad faith arguments about how it will never happen or its not serious or whatever.

Their innovation was driven by their war interests AND they failed so how innovative were they really?
