definitely
Finally got to see it, last time I wanted to rent it it was out of stock
You know what man I’ve seen some bad movies this year, a few good ones some pretty good
But this one man it moved me
Might be my moty?
Didn't see a thread for it but it leaked recently and I loved it even if it was a pretty simple movie
Simple movies are the most overlooked and underrated piece of art
You don’t check ya DMs huh
i just seen ur dm lol
haven't had a movie move me like this one did in ages, it was so beautiful
but funny and tense and f***, it was so good.
reminded me so much of that 2008ish to like 2013 era of indie movies that all had a crazy offbeat plot (all of Michael Cera's work, King's of Summer etc, that type of movie). that blend of innocence and crazy, i missed that s***.
there was another movie about Florida and a motel with Willem Dafoe or recently that also gave me the same feel.

The Florida Project is the film with Dafoe

Florida project is sad af
Florida project is sad af
it is. but there were very beautiful moments amongst the sadness and chaos. Willem Dafoe's character by himself provided a handful. the kids creating their own little world reminded me of how when you're young the world seems so huge, like there are infinite possibilities. i also liked the early moments of sisterhood between the two women, i don't remember if they were both single moms or what. i just remember her helping with food and baby sitting? it's been a while.
but yeah, amidst the bad s***, there were little moments like those that kept the whole thing ticking along. i loved that.

Those beautiful moments to me is what makes the movie even sadder, because those beautiful moments exist inside a fully f***ed up life
Like damn they could/should be living a beautiful life, but unfortunately they only get moments of beauty

i just checked and this the only movie of his i've seen. i respect him because we had two completely opposite experiences of the movie he made. and yet, we both landed at the point of "this is dope". wild lol.
which other ones are good?

yo, Red Rocket was a great f***in experience. i loved it. i have too many words about it, i could go on, but what'd you think about the ending? it's the only part that really stumped me. i felt like it wasn't real and he was like having an illusion, and then something happened and then he smiled? did he cum? is that what that was? i don't really know what to make of it lol.
