Tried to make IT robery go wrong
Makes sense with throwing away his ID I guess. But Oz got the police and politicians in his back pocket now, so it's not like he really has to do much to cover his tracks.
A random kid with no family found dead in a park? Just a regular night in Gotham
when bman beats the brakes off of oz so hard that his eyesight goes bad and hes gotta start wearing one of these >
also there is no way eves last name being karlo is a coincidence considering what oz has her doing, shes for sure gotta be clayface
Given all The Sopranos comparisons I should have seen it coming but Oz killing Vic was so f***ing brutal to watch

She can be. Keep in mind the OG Clayface wasn't the morphing clay monster we came to know in Batman cartoons and games. He was a failed/scorned actor.
Oz can use any of his grunts as a tool though. Vic is someone he actually cared about that can in the future be used against him, same as his mom, so he wanted to get rid of that vulnerability
If he's willing to kill him so easily he's obviously not a vulnerability/weakness lmao
And for all the "penguin can't risk having family around" he literally left his vegetable mother alive lol

I’m so excited for this universe
I wonder if oz will eventually find out that she was the one that ratted out their crown point safe house to Sofia, maybe he’ll f\*\*\* her up and she becomes clay face or something
My hope for Clayface in the Reeves-Verse Batman was that he's going to be a serial killer with multiple-personality disorder who would "wear masks" to hide in plain sight and become the people he killed for his own gain.
Could get into themes of Jungian Psychology. Some inspiration from American Psycho. Give a nod to the original creators of Clayface. Something that's grounded in this Batman world. Even make reference to that run in the Batman comics when Joker was wearing other people's faces. It wasn't popular in the comics because fans felt it was being edgy/weird just for the sake of it. But doing it with Clayface there'd be a more legitimate reason behind it seeing as how he's a failed actor.
I do hope to see Clayface in some form in the Reeves-Verse. There's a lot of potential there for an interesting dynamic between the villain and hero. You get the dark creepiness of that mixed in with Bruce/Batman detective work trying to find out who Clayface is and their motives.
I think what's really interesting is that in the last episode we see that Oz's mother isn't who he actually cared about the most despite him trying to spin it that way.
Even with his mother admitting that she always knew Oz killed his brothers and was willing to have him killed too, Oz still held onto a lie. Even if it meant his mother getting her finger cut off. That scene showed that he really only cared about himself. Going as far as to say his mom is just crazy and thinking things. We also see how little he actually cares by keeping his mom alive in her vegetative state despite her begging Oz to promise her that he would kill her if ever left in that state.
As it would turn out, the person who Oz actually cared about the most was Vic. And Vic was the only thing keeping what little heart/humanity that he had left. Which is why Oz killed him. Killing his mom wouldn't have had the same impact on him because he was totally willing to have Sofia harm her just so he can continue believing in the selfish fantasy he created, and kept her alive against his mother's wishes.
he was desperate for her approval, truthfully he's mostly obsessed with being respected, even while sal was dying he was telling at him that he beat him knowing the heart attack was bailing him out

F*** no
Clayface should be played by mickey rourke, be a washed up actor with plastic surgery obsession that got his face so f***ed up he can now move it around like play dough
What y'all rating this show now that the finale wrapped everything up?
I'm feeling a 7.5-8 out of 10. Definitely entertaining, and while the criticism of "things just sort of happening with no consequences" is legitimate. I do also understand that is a regular thing that happens in comics. When the source material is comics, it's bound to happen. While I understand that, it does also make for some predictable moments and a feeling of the protagonist having impervious plot armor.

9/10

He knows she’s cooked that’s why he’s dressing up his lady like his mom. That’s not gonna hold him back now.

the Clayface debut in Batman TAS was super cool, they can riff on that for sure

Fair score and solid argument

You don’t get it
Ill go with
8/10. I really enjoyed it and it was a great watch but there was a lot of lazy writing stuff that grinds my gears like the amount of times penguin got captured and just happened to escape towards the end. And the pace was extremely fast alot of plot points come and go with no time to breathe. Still a great show, Collin farrell absolutely smoked it, Sofia was good too and vic was great I could see that actor having a come up similar to Miguel's actor in Kobra Kai
What y'all rating this show now that the finale wrapped everything up?
Pre finale I would’ve said 7.5 or 8
Finale finished so strong though it might’ve raised it a whole point

Numerical rating not sure
started off really strong but for an episode or two after sofias time in arkham it felt a bit rushed, but they really got back on track and stuck the landing

Sheesh

It had some wonky pacing here and there plus some plot conveniences but I hear you on them sticking the landing
And for all the "penguin can't risk having family around" he literally left his vegetable mother alive lol
Honestly I feel like that serves as a reminder as to why Penguin sometimes ends up getting sent to Arkham instead of Blackgate in other Batman stories. He's an extremely delusional, narcissistic, and sociopathic individual, bordering levels of insanity. His own mother said she hated him and even tried to kill him. Yet he's still desperately clinging onto a lie and fantasy he created despite her knowing the truth about him and his doings. Then there's having Eve dress up as and act like his mother while she's cooped up in a vegetative state. Somewhat similar to how Mr. Freeze would keep his dying wife cryogenically frozen in his lair because he believes he can still save her.
Yeah Oz is legitimate nut, and in this universe, will probably end up getting sent to Arkham instead of Blackgate. He's way to manipulative and charismatic to have him around the other common criminals and mobsters in there.
