The people are protesting bc of a new bill which would make it illegal to share videos/photos of police officers being c***s basically. Very dangerous stuff
The bill's most contested measure could make it more difficult for people to film police officers. It aims to outlaw the publication of images with intent to cause harm to police. The provision has caused such an uproar that the government has decided to rewrite it.

Super f***ed. I now never want to go to France. Especially now that terrorism is highkey all over there now
They don’t really plan on passing that part of the law it’s diversion to make everything else pass discretely
I read an article on this last week tho and it’s pretty f***ed and anti democratic
Imagine if the US said filming cops was a threat to cops lives yikes
I tried to go to the protests last Saturday and I got jumped by a couple of f***ing cops within 5 minutes
this should be opposed at all costs let's name and shame the corrupt and crooked cops.
the biggest gang in the world is the police and they're a bunch of pussies no cap.
they going nuts again because the retirement age thing yea?
Yah it's unrelated to this thread i was just looking to see if anyone was talking about it and that's the closest I found
call me crazy but this doesn't get media attention in the U.S. because they don't want us to know direct action protests are actually effective.
"the police are going insane"
Yeah? Nothing new under the sun obviously

What are your thoughts on the current protests? I don’t follow politics of France, as someone from there are the protests just about retirement age going up by two years, or is it deeper? What is the feeling in France?
