Not sure why so many people chose to use the Smile sub over the last few years when the Radiohead sub is larger, more moderated (less restricted), and largely inactive lol

It actually was the case.

The band sold Wall of Eyes on CD/vinyl at listening party events like a week and a half before the album release and people sat on that s*** for 48 hours before a leak happened. Like dozens of people with copies of the record without it surfacing.

It only leaked because someone bought a copy on eBay from a scalper and asked them to rip the CD and email them the files and the guy did.

It's absolutely nuts the difference the name Radiohead and the name the Smile hold even though the latter is literally led by the same creative team as the former.

I have a friend who's absolutely obsessed with Radiohead - like the biggest fan I know in person outside of me and another friend - and I think he's listened to ALFAA and WoE once each? Dude barely even knows there's an album coming tomorrow but he can quote interviews from Yorke and O'Brien in 2003 lmfao.

People just don't give as much of a s*** (and that was before all of Jonny's dumbass statement about playing in Israel back in June)

If the first album from The Smile had been better, maybe they'd be...no, no...I went to a concert and it was so wonderfully chill: the Radiohead brand is something else.

I loved the first one, it was my aoty. Saw it live and it made it even better. its all been great so far imo

I loved the og bodies laughing so much. I feel like they overdid it with this studio version but I can see how they might have felt like it didn’t see the broader vision of Wall of Eyes / Cutouts through enough, if that makes sense.

What seems to be coming through more than anything is that Thom’s melodies feel so much more defined and the mixing on his vocals compliments that much better than it did on some of the wall of eyes songs.
