HNDRXXIn Europe shopping carts work with coins. You need to put 50 cents or 1€ to get it and then when you put it back you're able to get the coin back. So if you don't return the cart you lose money lol.
only place ive seen in US with those is usually Aldi's, exact same concept

From what I see there’s way more bad people than people who don’t put carts away, I feel like the system of having the place to put them right in the parking lots makes it easy enough that selfish people still just do it because it’s somewhat of a social obligation

As someone who worked at a supermarket and got carts a lot if you say thank you for taking the cart or at least seam appreciative with a smile it was nice but if you seemed like you expected it I would be annoyed somewhat
