3 is not a re-release by the way. it's just the game that has always been out on PC.

1 and 2 were the fixed ones.

So I got the game

So far it runs fine on my machine. There was a weird audio glitch when I started but when i changed to my native resolution it's fine now.

I never really played Sims growing up and I thought you create a Sim and the start a life for them but I guess you manage like a million Sims???

I'm overwhelmed. I guess you just choose which Sims really interest you to play with their life ?

Having all the DLCs is nice.

Also why is the soundtrack so good???

We never got Sims 2 though. Skipped and went to Sims 3 & 4.
I know people say Sims 2 is the best though. 1 & 3 hold the most nostalgia for me though. 4 was decent but I was in my early 20s when I played it. Only put in like 30-40 hours. From what I remember I bought the city/apartment expansion, and had my nigga start from the mud. Roaches in his studio apartment n everything it was fun but the thing I didn’t like about Sims 4, your neighbors do not progress unless you’re actively playing them. Kinda made the world a lot less vibrate than past games.

Always wanted to run these games with mods, but I never got around to doing it. Kinda had lost interest in the genre by the time I got my first gaming laptop and would’ve been able to handle all the potential mods.

holy eff so i recreated the family i made since it didn't save after the crash. i didn't have too much progress so it didn't take long.

i finished making my guy and two cats and then i moved them into a home.

As soon as the guy moves in it's just him and the two cats are not moved in???

Now he's just himself as the family I created for some reason.

This game is SO s*** omg. Don't spend your money on this right now.

Why are good games marred with such issues

How does a game crash so much.

I save like every 5 minutes now but its so wack. Found a cool auto save mod so I don't have to think to much.

Game has crashed twice while I tried to create a sim just to start playing lmao I just do something else each time. Maybe modders will fix it up

Relying on modders. Typical modering gaming. For such a barebones port too.

There also seems to be an issue when a pet accepts a job. Game crashes during their work. My save now is permanently broken because it saved when I already accepted the pet job.

I'm done trying to play this for now. Apparently yesterday there was a patch but im playing a diff version so i gotta figure out how to update it lol.
