To be fair I think the intention was probably to show how f***ed up the mob is but I feel like they needed a character to point out that it was wrong. Even Meadow just brushes over it.

on top of that Vito being a remorseless killer makes it tough to feel for him too much

Just started season 1. It feels familiar coz I've seen this season before, but I really like it so far

I feel like Sopranos really shows the non-glamorous side of the mob perfectly.

It’s not just nice suits & badass dialogue. Some of these mobsters are actually embarrassing degenerates.
