let's goooo
Yeah idk about this.
That poster is absolutely terrible and cheap looking.
The trailer, doesn't look bad but it didn't feel like "Sopranos"...it felt like something more on the level of "White boy Rick" and movies like those, basically more on the generic side.
Sopranos is one of the greatest shows of all time that was based around the Mob life that didn't do generic violence and "mobster" s*** 24/7 to make it work. That's why it was so unique.
Starting to think doing a prequel might of been a bad idea. You know what unique movie they should of did? A prequel or solo movie based on the therapist. Matter fact lemme write a script for it to pitch.

Now that you mention "White boy Rick" I do see what you mean. I still don’t have high hopes for this but let’s see. They could’ve at least shot this on film to recapture an authentic 60s feel, the digital which looks crisp looks too clean at times.

Lol yeah bro, this feels like a safe movie. Sopranos wasn't a safe show.
Michael Imperioli at the start of his career in Goodfellas
Ray Liotta at the end of his career as Chris’s grandfather in the sopranos
Crine
You gotta understand a lot of therapist are mentally f***ed up from dealing with the mental disturbances of others. Add on top of that handling a Mobster. Would make for a compelling story or back story. Trust me.

You snapped on this!!!
I agree! I loved the LOOK of sopranos but yeah, the kinda cold and blue/muted(?) tone of this LOOKS like a mobster generic streaming mobster movie
I’m not gonna doubt David Chase when it comes to sopranos tho. If he came up with a story that made him Wanna come back and tell, I will listen

1000% fam….I’m still gonna give it a chance, when I first seen The Irishman trailer I wasn’t impressed and that turned out being a great film. So I’m hoping this will be the same, especially since David Chase is behind it. But so far it’s looking a little shaky lol
OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG I AM FREAKING IUT I JUST SAW IT I AM GOING TO CRY IT IS SO F***ING GOOD AHHHHH FUUWJSTSYWHQVF ZE TDEH ‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️

i kinda agree but i’m still excited to see this. i don’t think any 2 hour movie could live up to the standards of a show with 86 episodes that are each about an hour. there’s not really any other stories they need to tell anyways so i don’t think anyone’s expectations should be too high. i’m just hoping to get a nice love letter to the show and an entertaining couple hours.
