Yo Sopranos reddit gets wild sometimes, just remembered I saw a comment last week from some dude going to town on Steve Schirripa, calling him all sorts of s***, "clout-chasing gremlin" "talentless hack" etc

All because he was gassed that Schirripa kept interrupting guests on the podcast

Schrippa is a clout chaser. Man used to think he was a gangster because he was in the show. His neighbor was my coworker. Guy from the old Vegas days. In his 70s. Steve tried to punk him over some landscape dispute and the old guy took his 50 cal revolver and put it to his stomach told him “Get the f*** off my property frocio.” Steve never messed with him again.

Used to DVR the episodes. They didn’t have a streaming platform, so I had to catch them when HBO would run marathons to catch up.

Real.. I remember going to Blockbuster to rent the DVD's haha this was around S2 I think. Groundbreaking show.

It was for mine too, but I was definitely way too young to even know what was going on

    Looks amazing.

I’m confused on the timeline though. If the riots took place in the 60s, Tony should be a kid in this, he was born in 1959. But he looks to be at least 16/17 here 🤔

word...I remember not having HBO for an amount of time when this was airing live for the first time...used to track down Entertainment Weeklys and read about "who got wacked this week on Sopranos" was definitely a phenomenon and it's crazy to me that some ppl still haven't watched it all the way through

That's crazy. This was me with Thrones. When Sopranos ran things we didn't have HBO and I was too young to grasp it anyway lol

honestly the trailer gives me the irishman vibes but in a bad way, its like the irishman with a younger cast.

loved sopranos, up there with the wire for me but i dont know what to say about this. hope im wrong, still gonna watch it though

  • Trailer was big meh

The actors from the series was half the greatness, the other half was the writing.

None of the actors in this movie excite me besides Ray and he is pass his prime

    Yeah idk about this.
That poster is absolutely terrible and cheap looking.

The trailer, doesn't look bad but it didn't feel like "Sopranos"...it felt like something more on the level of "White boy Rick" and movies like those, basically more on the generic side.

Sopranos is one of the greatest shows of all time that was based around the Mob life that didn't do generic violence and "mobster" s*** 24/7 to make it work. That's why it was so unique.

Starting to think doing a prequel might of been a bad idea. You know what unique movie they should of did? A prequel or solo movie based on the therapist. Matter fact lemme write a script for it to pitch.

The way I see it, the trailer is simply an ad. It clearly was designed to appeal to a massive general audience. And you talk to a large majority of the people who watched the show, most of them watched it not for the in depth character a***ysis or the therapy scenes, but for the action and mob drama. I thought the trailer was s*** too but it’s only that, a trailer. I’m still looking forward to see how the movie ends up being
