i read on some forum thread that pac was at the source awards in ‘96 but ppl didn’t know where he was until he came out and jumped on biggies car and he was ready to see biggie and puffy on sight

the source awards was the only award show with a emphasis on rap at the time

This crazy the more I think about it cause this site is filled with people who didn’t start listening to rap till they were teenagers and still have very surface level knowledge of anything pertaining to rap and it’s history

I know the older niggas lost all respect for the source awards. I don’t know if younger niggas even know what a source is. It might take a newer company to revitalize big rap award shows and make it feel important
