I think it’s forgotten (cus movie was ass) that the first one actually did make solid amount of money and was an Oscar winner. They had no reason not to green light another one It’ll get looks once again with the cast and James Gunn on it. Everything but the plot did pretty well hell even the soundtrack had a massive hit
