You have to give Mac the remainder of this season to see what he can do, we drafted him #15 overall.

If he continues playing this poorly for the rest of the season then we’ll need to seriously look at the qb position in the offseason. Whether that means giving Zappe a chance, drafting another qb, or bringing in a vet.

Also, we made some really good picks in the draft this year, but yikessss @ Strange playing poorly recently enough to warrant benching him in favor of Wynn.

Seen enough. We didn’t move up to get him. He landed to us and Zappe did too. Best man gets starting job. Zappe takes chances and doesn’t turn the ball over like Mac is this season and how he did last quarter of last season including playoffs

I would keep playing Mac after the bye. I wouldn't guarantee Mac the rest of the season, but I would give him a little more leash. I'm not convinced Zappe is better, I think it's too soon to say.

Hopefully at least one of them is good....

My thoughts are — Zappe’s ceiling seems limited to me. Mac has more raw skills. Not really sure how far we’d get if Zappe reaches his potential, but if Mac reaches his we could be contenders.

If Mac doesn’t work out, I’d prefer to go back to the drawing board and find another young option in the draft. I wouldn’t mind throwing Zappe out there in the last two or three games of the season if things go downhill more.

Hard to put the blame on Mac when he has those things going against him

Heard a lot of people talking up our defense recently as being this ultra elite defense, and I find that hilarious given how absolutely atrocious the offenses we’ve played since the Packers game are (peep the list of QBs)

Tomorrow will be interesting. Not that I think Kirk Cousins is that good, and Minnesota isn’t an elite offense (they’re pretty much smack dab in the middle of the league averages), but they do have 2 of the best offensive players in the league (Jefferson and Cook), so it will be interesting to see how we do against a team not led by Zach Wilson, Jacoby Brissett, or Ehlinger (playing without Jonathan Taylor)
