If we have a top 3 pick, it will definitely be either wr or qb. If we have pick 4 or later, it could definitely be an OT (which we do have a desperate need for). Trading back a few spots(still within the top 12 or so) also has merit, given just how much new talent we will need on offense to be good again. If a team makes a stupid large offer, it might make sense to do it — with the only caveat being if there is a QB available that we are SURE will be a franchise guy.

Moral of the story: lose this weekend so we have the best options at our disposal.

We might fall for the Drake Maye hype

We are SO close to being in position to draft MHJ outright or to have an easier trade up to get Williams.

I say that last part because I think that Chicago MAY (who knows for sure tho) be interested in sticking with Fields (especially if he destroys the Packers this weekend). And if they are willing to give up the 1st, I would assume they would love to be able to still draft the best non-QB in the draft. Moore and MHJ would make such a beast offense it’s insane (not to mention all of the other skill players the Bears have).

That only happen tho, if we get the 3rd pick. Which is WAY more likely if we lose. If we win it really doesn’t matter whether we’re 4th or 5th as much, there’s a huge tier drop after 3. So if we win, we’re just f***ed. This whole season was for nothing. Nothing redeeming about it. Just a total waste of breath.

And to be clear, I’m not holding my breath. Bill is gonna screw us in a massive way here.

As horrible as this season has been, I'm so thankful that there is some light at the end of the tunnel with a super high draft pick before there is a tier drop in the draft. Can't imagine if we had this horrible season and had nothing to show for it.

Now, please keep Bill. And if not, we better be receiving a high second AT MINIMUM for him.

He is the GOAT and we have a massive rebuild ahead of us. He's had his struggles over the last few years as a GM, but imagine putting some unproven people in charge of this massive task...it's laughable.

I agree with everything said here. Bill has clearly made mistakes and neglected the offense, but I don’t trust some random head coach to come in and oversee this.

I really think Jayden daniels coached by Bill, would look very similar to the stroud with the texans this year. especially if we can put a solid draft together. the tank is over and the future is bright

I know this isn’t popular, but I actually love the idea of using our first two picks on WR and OT, and then going after either Fields or Russ if the price to acquire them is cheap.

Either one of them is gonna have a huge chip on their shoulder, the rest of our roster will have a chip on their shoulder, and if we retain him (as we should) so will Bill

I was just assuming he would be cheaper (both in terms of draft picks given up, and salary hit, but I could be wrong on the salary one?) and he was pretty much a solid league average QB for most of the season.

I feel like a big reason that he got a bad rap this season was because his level of play was nowhere near close to matching his gigantic contract and all of the draft capital they gave up to trade for him.

But if you go in assuming you’re just getting a top 15 QB on a cheap deal, I feel like that’s worth it.

Obviously totally disregard everything I said if he would cost more than 10 million.
