I’ve been thinking about where we go from here into the next Offseason and my thoughts are: we cannot treat this roster as an AFC Championship roster
And by that I mean that we need to make moves as if we are still in the rebuilding phase just like we did last year. And what we did well last year is accumulate as much talent (without sacrificing locker room/leadership) as possible — regardless of position.
We didn’t NEED to have our two biggest contracts last year be for Milton and Carlton, since we already had Baramore and Gonzo. But we got them because they upped the overall talent of our roster, even if those weren’t our biggest positions of need.
So while I hope we are able to fill up the O Line and get a #1 WR and get a good Edge in Free agency and the draft, I think the most important thing is that we don’t overpay for a player that isn’t worth the money and that we don’t overdraft a guy that ends up sucking just to fill those positions.
Because our team is not good enough yet. And it’s ok to admit that we got to the Super Bowl in large part because of schedule, and next season we have a much tougher schedule.
Fully agree. Treat this offseason as a rebuilding offseason because it is. We overachieved, which is fine, but they can't act like we'll be back next year with the exact same roster.

Jared Wilson on the other hand
Apparently Williams won’t be DC next season, so it’s likely that Kuhr will get the official title

Gave Williams a different role which is awesome to keep both
Sucks to see him go, but definitely needed to happen. Was great to get our franchise back on track last year tho
100% do not want us trading away our 1st round pick (plus more maybe even?) for AJ Brown (who could have knee problems) when we are still in rebuilding mode
Please get Alec Pierce in free agency instead
Also love the idea of drafting Kenyon Sadiq, not opposed to trading up a bit to get him if we have to
Free agency begins tomorrow
Get me Alec Pierce and a pro bowl Left Guard please
got the guard
My initial feeling about Doubs signing was disappointment, but I muuuuuch prefer that over having to give a 1st round pick (or even more) up for Brown
lol damn our roster without question has overall a net loss of talent since free agency began

it’s improved a lot plus AJB coming

Since I made that post I would say that it has gotten better than when I made the post, but I don’t know that I’d say it is noticeably different than last season. I like the Vera Tucker signing a lot, but the overall success of this offseason depends a lot on it. I think in general the strategy has been good though.
And still don’t think I want AJB if the price is too high
