Bring him back. Linebacker was a huge issue last year. Granted we will have Hightower back this year, but bring Van Noy back until we can find a long term solution. Bill really brought the most out of his skill set.

I know a lot of people gonna hate this, but as I’ve said many times here, hard to place all the blame on Cam for last season when we had one of the worst receiving groups (including tight ends) of all time

Yeah. I’ve lost faith in Bill. Cam can’t even throw. It doesn’t matter who’s running routes out there when the quarterback is bouncing passes to their feet.

What would your ideal solution at qb be instead?

If you say Jimmy, that likely involves us giving up a 1st at this point, and there’s a huge injury risk there. If you say the draft that also likely involves us being required to trade a future first in order to move up to select one of the top 4. If you say Mac Jones, it’s still very likely that we could get him as a development project too.

People always be hating on GMs, but don’t have a solid alternative plan themselves and just expect them to pull a rabbit out of their hat.

I would absolutely give up pick 15 for Jimmy. I know that he has an injury history, but at least Jimmy can throw the ball. I don’t think we were ever in contention for one of the top guys in the draft. Unless Bill wants to sell the farm and trade up for Wilson, which I doubt, I would rather take a guy like Jameis Winston. At least we know he can sling it. There were times last year when Cam just looked broken as a quarterback. Throwing the ball downfield seemed difficult for him. He was inaccurate in the short game, which is such a big part of this offense.

I understand the thinking on Bill’s part, you don’t want to go into free agency with Jarrett Stidham as the only QB on your roster, but this is the equivalent of waving the white flag to me. It’s like they don’t want to try to upgrade the position. You can’t compete if you can’t pass the ball. To the point: does Cam being here entice legitimate receiving threats to play here? Do you think Kenny Golladay will trust that Cam can get him the ball?

The reason this bothers me is because there’s a concerning lack of urgency. They didn’t push very hard for Stafford. Okay, I think he’s a little overrated. They could have traded for a guy like Mariota as a stop gap. Apart from Harry who is dead weight, our receivers got some separation last year. It wasn’t all on them, but yes I know they’re not great. To me this move is just begging for another 6-7 win season.
