Based on the new details of agholor’s contract that came down this morning, I am feeling like bill over paid for him and I’m a little irked by it. But I’m waiting to see what other guys like Curtis Samuel get because that will further impact my view on it.

The thing that i don’t like is that we guaranteed $5 million of salary in 2022 which means if we cut him after 1 year there’s a $10 million dead cap. That’s a lot, so this is truly a 2 year deal.

I want us to go all in on Deshaun

I like all of the deals except agholor, and overall I’m very happy with what they’ve done so far.

If they think agholor can match or improve on his 2020 season and be a consistent deep threat then great. I’m happy to have him on the roster, but theres a fairly high risk of him being mid and that 2022 commitment looking bad

Pats cap adjusted his spreadsheet on this deal this morning after reiss revealed that $5 million of his $9 million 2022 salary is guaranteed.

His cap number in 2022 is $15 million.
If we cut him before then, the dead cap is $10 million and the cap savings are $5 million.

The dead cap would be $5 million of his signing bonus (half of it) and $5 million in guaranteed 2022 salary.
