But he doesnt do hooks or rap.

He doesnt do much more then make the beat and maybe dance in your video.

No but he's executive produced a bunch of albums

Neither Metro nor Mustard have the personality or talent to be the next Timbaland.

I'm talking producers in that line, the Pharrell's, the Swizz Beatz'

    Metro?

    Metro?

Dude barely talks. Hes not an in front of the camera kind of guy.

And again, it doesn't seem like hea very involved in the creative process other then making the beat. Hes not writing any hooks.

Hes doing a lot of work but its honestly high grade mid.

Nothing in his 2020 production run eclipses his prior work.

king disease I wouldn't call mid at all.

    superproducer (plural superproducers)

    1. A very talented or successful producer.

That's how its defined in Webster's but in Hip-Hop I always saw it as a personality who not only orchestrated the production, but could do the hooks, do a verse and perhaps even carry an album on his own.

At any rate, I cant see any of this generation's beat makers becoming the next Dr. Dre or Kanye West.

Who do you consider Hip-Hop's super producers and how would you define the term?

lol why does a super "producer" have to be able to do hooks and verses? that's not the producer's job. not everyone is f***ing kanye or dre. by your definition timbaland isn't a super producer

Timbaland did hooks and verses and put out multiple albums

The super producers do more then just program the beat.

    Those are just....producers.

nah, dont feel like it, But there are a bunch of producers that crop up every year from different areas that bring in a whole new sound, And its hard to know when a producer does a hook or helps with writing cause its not usually inked in the credits so it is a very unfair way to define a producer as a super producer, Benny the butcher works with producers who help him structure his verses (where the bridge goes, Where and if there should be a break) Generally the structure of the song. I as well do it for many of the rappers i have worked with but i dont really expect any typa credit its a part of the collab ya spill me

Those still aren't the same kinda dudes as the producers who ran the late 90's/early 00's.

I'm talking producers who are basically gifting artists with guaranteed hits, the guys who used to get 100K a track. Those guys no longer exist
