But when it comes to big time artists, he becomes just a beat maker again. Hes not really putting his imprint on the song other then providing the track.

for the first part of the vid he keeps playing the 808 an octave or two up to find the pitch. It sounds like s*** bc the 808 is looped (a common thing in FL studio) and so it just plays over and over again at that high pitch and he keeps playing different notes to find the right pitch. Hes not actually trying to play a pattern, but when taken out of context it sounds like he is.
also, for the whole vid he has the metronome on to help time his s***, something that gets removed for the final beat.
if he drops a song w this beat finished, mfs gonna be like "dam this hard"
