what exactly are you trying to say here? black people have been “free” for almost half the amount of years they were enslaved and kept separate by law until about 50 years ago. racism is deeply ingrained in white american culture and you can’t really understand as a european and especially not by saying “chill people in my ethnic group were enslaved once too”

I wouldn't want to say "black people are racist" if I was refering to blacks in America because blacks don't only live in America, so I would say black americans or african-americans and I also know that not all black americans are racist so in conclusion I would say "some black americans are racist". I really do not know why this is such a hard concept to understand.
