    Describe what about him?

The privilege you’re assuming I’m born with because of my experiences and mindset render me not black (enough) in your mind

    So describe President Obama

You didn’t read what I wrote. I never mentioned privilege. I said racism is black and white. What are you talking about?

I’m happy you have the luxury of making racism a nuanced issue. But black people don’t have that luxury.

I mean the term black and white doesn't have to mean it's about race

How is racism a black and white issue?

There is a series of nuances that make it a more complex issue

Yes not all slavery was equally bad I correct myself I agree

and i'm not disagreeing with what he said in the post or denying the fact that those people exist

but your are assuming that I am personally offended because of my reaction when all I'm trying to do is help because the more you generalize and stereotype certain groups you are only opening more doors for ignorance and racism

i get what you’re saying and i think you’re coming from a good place but generalizations of majority groups never have any actual impact on their lives, or at the very least not anywhere near the level of impact they have on minority groups. i don’t think it really opens the doors for racism at all and saying s*** like “what if i said all black people _” is ignoring the huge difference in power that white vs black people have in our society

I never once mentioned that it was about race. The phrase black and white refers to being “cut and dry” that or the other.

Breh you’re losing me, I was saying that racism isn’t a basic black and white issue

    It’s more complex

You asked if I was black

    I said yeah

Then you implied I was blessed to feel the way I do

I was never referring to skin color.

When I says racism is a black and white issue meaning you are either for racism or not.

Black and white is term that means cut and dry. Good and bad. It’s no in between. There is no part time racism.

I never mentioned that it’s an issue between black and white people n

They're similar too white sports fans. They don't care about black people outside of entertainment purposes. That's why we they see black rappers,or athletes speaking out on matters that don't concern entertainment they'll tell them "shut up and dribble" or "why are you complaining your a millionaire " it doesn't matter if these white people conservative or liberal. They have the same white supremacist mindset. White rap fans are always attacked to the dysfunction of Hip Hop culture. It's trauma p*** it's the same reason why people love slave movies. They love the d*** selling the gang violence the d*** usage the single parent households. The promotion of financial irresponsibility.

Alternatively you have white fans blindly talking about problems rappers preach about without knowing any real world context. As if to say, “This guy is super serious on racism so therefore I am also super serious on racism because it is an important matter.” Tbh people will believe/follow anything if you word it just right.

I disagree and you don't have to look at it that way only

This will sound harsh but most people aren't that smart and aren't educated or informed enough and heavly rely on their surrounding, I have real life experience of this.

let's say a bad person says "arab people are terrorist", well of course not all terrorists are arab and not all arab people are terrorists but to the "not so smart" person who maybe doesn't have bad intentions but is just scared he will take that sentence at face value and the meaning literally so in his view now he will despise all arab people becasue he is afraid and despises terrorisam despite there being many wonderful arab people. The feeling of fear is stronger than love so he will also start speaking against them and maybe convince more people or offend a arab person.

  • Turns out everyone just in it for their own best interests.

Same way Desean Jackson and them can quote hitler and openly support Farrakhan while trying to get black people ahead

they own our music and how we present ourselves. thats the real problem

Yep, look at how black music changed in 1996 when they basically changed the music industry rules up and blocked out all the small black music companies

Traditional R&B (which was black peoples main form of music and owned by us) started to decline swiftly and died with usher.

right but i’m saying someone being afraid of arab people because they think they’re terrorists leads to us having a muslim ban put into law and supported by tons of people but someone being afraid of white people because of mass shootings and stuff leads to.... nothing. maybe some animosity or mean looks but nothing that’ll tangibly effect their lives.

  • Jul 9, 2020

agreed but then there are also fantano style white rap fans who love tpab and conscious rap and are down with the messages that get clowned on this site for being wack and corny anyway

That's because most of americans are white.

point being tho I'm against generalization
