I wouldn’t tie the bulletproof vest thing to this he was already wearing it around the time he went to the White House. I remember he went to the Georgetown Apple store after when he announced he was going to Africa and he had it on too. Was just general paranoia cus he was saying some wild stuff

I think that's why they all dipped, they were probably pretty pissed off at Ye for nearly getting them kidnapped for a little while but then at least Mike and Ye made up.
