I kinda hate the “there’s bigger stuff to worry about” narrative when it comes to racism. Why is it so bad to speak on everything? If people wanna go about racism regarding celebrities with cult like followings let them call that s*** out, people can do THAT and talk about “more important” issues regarding race. Why is it always one way or the other with these topics man lol. You can discuss every aspect, if you care about more important issues, go make them threads then.

What was the context in which the word was being said?

I feel like a lot of the reason a lot of black people tend to vocalize support in these situations, is because white liberal America routinely commandeers the discussion of the word from black people and inserts grievance on their behalf.

That's not to say every black person appreciates the word being said -- even in the case of a discussion about the word -- but almost nobody thinks a white person is racist just because they said nxgger with no other context
