I like both 80s and 90s music. Because I have gone back and listened to it. Found a lot of music I like.

I also listen a lot to R&B and rap. Old and current.

S***, a lot of this album is some 80s R&B. It is some Prince and MJ vibes for real. Huge influences. They both made dance records and smooth ballads also.

This would have probably been a huge album in the 80s or 90s too. It probably be classed as "urban" back then. We will never know that answer to all those things, but probably. Either way it would have probably transcended genres and made it to radio. If anything is that good, it will transcend and impact s***.

I think if you are just into music, you are probably gonna like this album and for some it might just not click. You cant force yourself into liking something. Go back later or in couple of months and give it a spin again. If it is not for you, move on and wait for the next album or enjoy everything else in the meantime.

He is the type of artist we will always go and check on what he is doing and listen, even if there will probably come albums and songs we might not enjoy every single time for everyone.

This whats wrong. Tryna box him in, like some wanna do. "Stay in your lane". Like he only supposed to be that or go back to what he was or used to do.

He truly evolved and transcended s***. If anything. He is one of few artists that is pushing himself and music forward these days.

I forget that most people in our generation dont have the framework or perspective to know how forward thinking this album actually is despite its homage to an earlier era, cause they never had interest in exploring the different sounds of late 80/early 90s pop sounds, which is cool, not everyone is a nerd.

I really love how on this album Abel really was still able to make songs about heartbreak and frustration but managed to make them upbeat and groovy, almost as a distraction from the pain hes feeling. You can still get up and groove to these jams without getting down, even though the lyrics in some of these songs are contrary to the upbeat production.

Hell maybe I been sleep and hes been doing this but it really hit me on this album

he's doing more than Bieber, Lil nas x, ed sheeran without any physical copies. with a one week rollout and no big hit before release.

nah u right. This is a special album in that regard. extremely dark dance vibes have been done but rarely so.

I love this type of music and ive never heard an album so dark and so groovy at the same time. Not even from the 80s. Maybe kate bush is the closest but her s*** was never crazy danceable and more just weird.

Most of those people just dont know any better, to just be blunt about it. In a way it is not their fault. It is just what it is.

I think even people back in the day hated MJ and Prince too or after they became huge artists. There just wasnt any platform around for those people to express themselves.
