those songs dont even sound like songs mj would make lol
Exactly,
People hear synth and his voice and automatically make the MJ correlation.
Nah I do respect that he trying. I don't think Dawn FM touches the topic of death or purgatory enough for me. I think the next album will. Again I keep mentioning Flying Lotus You're Dead for a reason. This feels like part 1 of a clear part 2
it's not that deep, but then again you think there is a hidden meaning behind that matrix abomination

You're Dead is 30 minutes long about death and purgatory as well

You’re dead 100% does the purgatory concept better. Love that album tbh I think it’s a top 3 album from him

Its part of why I was so disappointed in this to be honest because You're Dead really did challenge what we expected from Flylo coming off Until the Quiet comes which was eerie
Flylo been grieving his whole career which unfortunately continued with loss of Mac Miller
You're dead takes you all over the place never feeling samey or never so inspired to be one particular artist or era where it feels like a complete trip when completed
Dawn FM ends arubptly to the point where I wasnt watching track titles and I immediately said "thats it"
its a cliffhanger
so I think After Life will remedy that
