That sad boy/ f*** b****es type s*** was some of his best work for sure, but I don't think he's in the right place to create that kind of music at that level. At least we can always go back and listen to those songs, there are a a lot of them.

Why do y’all want the same f***ing s*** from every artist every single album

The Weeknd resists the limitations of artistic complacency. His experimental projects that have gone on to become significant moments in music history and culture and pronounced enough to highlight the success of every major turning point in his career. “I’m always looking to evolve and sometimes it doesn’t go over because people are tied to their expectations and want what is familiar. I have to fight past that and just make the music that is genuine to where I am at each point in my life. I just hope the world doesn’t end and I can keep doing my part by creating a diversion with his music.”

    - TMRW Magazine

Abel said what we’ve been trying to get through to y’all for years. He’s not 20 years old anymore stop expecting him to make the same music he did back then.

    That snippet goes hard

I'm pretty excited for future albums by The Weeknd. What I loved about Kiss Land the most was how cinematic and cohesive the album was. And in my opinion After Hours also captured that cinematic and cohesive feel. I still rank Kiss Land higher than After Hours primarily due to the sound. I enjoy listening to the sound of Kiss Land over the synthpop of After Hours. If The Weeknd can maintain that cinematic feel, then we're in for great albums in the future.

"I have been more inspired and creative during the pandemic than I might normally be while on the road...The pandemic, the Black Lives Matter movement and the tensions of the election have mostly created a sense of gratitude for what I have and closeness with the people near me," he said.

it's just taking what he said out of context for a headline like what @kiddash3r said.

Need cocteau twins, beach house influenced project

He’s sampled them, always talks about them etc but we need an actual full on dream pop record
