One thing I find impressive about After Hours is that its not a full on Pop album thats doing those big numbers as a whole. Like his peers such as dua lipa and justin bieber released albums that are just accessible and cater to the most popular sound. But in after hours you have songs like Faith, missed you, final lullaby, and escape from LA that are not at all pop and arent made to be popular. but the album was still huge af and became the biggest era of the decade. like how good your non pop music gotta be that even the gp checks them out. like the after hours title track wasnt a single and its like 6 mintues long, but it has almost 500M streams on spotify. king s***

This is why I never understood people calling it a straight pop album, there’s so many different sounds on that album it doesn’t feel like a full blown pop album to me at all
