is it possible that the public has enough of Abel ?
because with the singles from AH still being played everywhere, it feels like there wasn't even a small break between these 2 eras
Nah this is just a testament of how strong AH is going.
Its still top 15 on the album charts like a year and a half in.
Its just a little oversaturation thats gonna go away when he drops single #2 after SYT and BL are down
Okay, so radio is spamming the hell out of this record but it isn't doing so well on streaming. It's lost streams on US Spotify every day since it debuted (debuted with 1.7M streams, down to 900K streams) and it's already down to #16 on US Apple Music. Should still debut in the top 10 but it won't have the mega debut Abel and his team clearly wanted.
It gained today. A bit in the us and and like 300k worldwide
Do you think streams of the extended version count towards charting of the single version? Might be a dumbass question lol
Yes!
“This, whatever it’ll be called—following ‘After Hours,’ following ‘Starboy,’ following ‘Beauty Behind the Madness’—will cement one of the most impressive choke holds on the radio we’ve ever seen.”

Crazy to think about honestly, really the only gap he had was in 2018
Love Me Harder -> Earned It -> The Hills -> In The Night/Acquainted -> Cant Feel My Face -> Starboy -> I Feel It Coming -> Call Out My Name -> Pray For Me -> Heartless -> Blinding Lights -> Save Your Tears -> Take My Breath
That’s like 7 straight years of hits
You're not wrong,SYT and BL are still in the public eye and are blocking TMB's path.
Wondering if it was a bit premature but oh well.
As you said this is gonna hover near the top 10,but I think the second single(if there is one) is gonna be the real deal
I think he should have given it a month or two before dropping the song.

Yeah you're spot on, he even said it himself hes too impatient and just did it
Perhaps he has a vision for the tour that includes both After Hours and The Dawn which is why he's releasing The Dawn so soon despite After Hours still being in the limelight, but at the end of the day it's a win-win-win for everyone

2017-2018 features were dark times.
maybe Abel is saving some hits on the album that he can push while he is touring next year

Crazy when you put it in perspective like that. And it’s like his radio presence is only getting stronger and stronger
