abel clears him in live singing at their respective age. mike was struggling after hitting 30, but he had been singing since he was a child, abel didn't. other than that, relax

People gotta be honest about his output outside of the big 3 albums and also the weakness of his deep cuts. abel got him way cooked in that regard
he was very much an artists whos biggest songs were his best songs

When the time comes, I do think the debate will have legs to stand on
When the time comes, I do think the debate will have legs to stand on
Personally I will say this....
During the After Hours era I could have seen him becoming of that stature, he locked in and dedicated himself to the mission of portraying this character to the fullest extend. Abel said it himself that it's not his style and he will move on from things fast. We felt that with the next two projects... We at least had grandpa-Abel for Dawn and then the plot of the Divine Comedy was kind of just lost midway through.
I wanna see him lock in again and take dance classes. I don't want him to settle for what he is doing now, I know he can reach higher but he has to lock in and let the album features go and stick to a creative vision

His dancing is defo holding him back a lot in the all timer debates
Believe it or not, in London most people would say chris brown > weeknd
don't think he has much motivation to lock in creatively and be "hungry"
he's already stadium status, got his bag. got his catalog. he can be on autopilot for a while and i don't know what would shake him into locking in again. i'd expect the passion projects, some vanity stuff and not as a lot of musical experimentation outside the stuff he's already done.

I mean his current project could potentially be it... He is pretty consistent with the source material and if he locks in with the Anime/Cyberpunk/Tech Wear aesthetic then he might have something very special.
I understand the fear of being locked to a character (just like how he felt with the Basquiat hair) but when you break it all down then it's a matter of a few music videos and tv appearances as a character.

I actually expected the video to release along side the Anime Awards as a celebration of anime and still being within the hype cycle of the Tiktok trends surrounding the song... but that's dying down now...
