I actually expected the video to release along side the Anime Awards as a celebration of anime and still being within the hype cycle of the Tiktok trends surrounding the song... but that's dying down now...
At this point, he can keep the song tbh
I'm already over it

i’m f***in crineeee
in the streaming/social era, never tease a song that is more than like two weeks from dropping.
what is the reason for the existence of this track to begin with and especially releasing it.

I also realized, they are promoting the live recording of the music video he posted on YT and not the music video itself
What is this dude smoking

XO records if you are reading this let me takeover the whole operation
At this rate I'll volunteer for free to steer the ship back with a creative vision ...
OVO infiltrated XO
you just don't get it.
this rollout is about to go in a completely new direction. no normal industry formula, no lead single then album strategy. they're doing this differently. songs are gonna get teased for months and not released immediately. people are gonna sit with previews, replay snippets, know unfinished lyrics, and still not know what’s actually making the album. some songs might get previewed over and over before they ever officially drop. this is all part of the rollout.
the craziest part is the single choices. instead of obvious mainstream records, the rollout is centered around new phonk songs, with phonk mixing, short runtimes, 2 minute, even 1 minute songs. the idea of using phonk records as the main singles for a major album rollout is something almost nobody is doing right now. somehow DJ Khaled is involved in this too which makes the entire thing even more insane.
and Hot Topic is about to become part of the rollout too. not just merch, but actual rollout involvement. the whole aesthetic around this new phonk album fits that chaotic Hot Topic era, the rollout is supposed to feel messy in the best possible way.
everything around this phonk project is supposed to be a phonk. songs changing names, people arguing over snippets, random previews becoming fan favorites before release. this isn’t supposed to feel polished and corporate. it’s supposed to be like phonk.

Watch it be the centerpiece of an EP lol

How did Abel go from one of the coolest f***ing rollouts i’ve ever seen with AH to being absolutely atrocious at the way he releases music? F***ing sucks watching one of your favorite artists of all time just bullshit with music

Why are we supposed to even care about that song when barely anyone cared abt sao paulo
With his other roll outs you can kinda see the logic i.e Dawn had sections of CTE where he dropped Take My Breath and dipped
But then he at least built hype back up with a somewhat surprise drop
After Hours was obviously a crazy cool roll out
HUT was genuine horror
Its somehow getting worse
Idk what his team are telling him
