He announced Dawn FM literally same week with no promo, this has had 3 teaser trailers with new music almost 2 months in advance if it really is coming Sept 6.

Yes he did, and the album was super underwhelming commercially.

1. I highly doubt he uses the same release strategy on back to back albums, especially with this being touted as the final Weeknd album

2. I seriously doubt the label will allow him to do another surprise release after the last one didn’t do so great numbers wise

I guarantee the album doesn’t drop on the 6th. Most we’ll get is a single or a release date

Not really. It’s teasing the album, I wouldn’t call it official promotion until we get a title/date/lead single
