Only thing about Illangelo is that I don’t he’s that great at the mixing side of Vocal production

After Hours kinda had a lot of sibilance and sometimes it’s hard to understand what Abel is saying

That was intentional from Abel and Ill but I def agree, sometimes the vocals are tooooo drowned out

I overall do understand the roles that OPN played in Dawn FM vs. an Illangelo/Metro on After Hours and how they would differ from each other

Dawn FM incorporating more “”niche”” 80’s Pop influences like Freestyle and Electro/Italo Disco play more towards OPN’s wheelhouse in comparison to After Hours being way more R&B/Garage/Trap stuff

One last thing is that I think the whole “After-Life” concept can be an interesting concept that I hope he actually plays in the way that the project deals with both Heaven and Hell…

Cause like obviously the “character” isn’t really a saint so it’s been interesting to me how everyone has assumed that the album is gonna be somewhat “heavenly”

I think he means that OPN is not an experienced "pop producer" unlike Illangelo who proved himself able to make tracks digestible and accessible to regular pop listeners.
