The music hit the studio like a Mack truck.
The new project is packed with party records. Like real-deal, illuminated-white-tiles-on-the-floor party records. Quincy Jones meets Giorgio Moroder meets the best-night-of-your-fucking-life party records. Not anachronistic disco stuff. (Not âcosplay,â as Abel put it.) That sort of retro thing is having a moment right now in pop music, but these records are new. Sweaty. Hard. Drenched-suit, grinding-on-the-girl/boy-of-your-dreams party records.
yeah. remember OPN production on weeky albums?
used to be so fun
ill block you
Best concept & best written: Dawn FM
Best sonically: Kiss Land
Kiss Land is one of the most unique sonic landscapes ever put on an album, Iâve still never heard anything quite like it
Very close between AH and Kiss Land
It's between these three:

i still think this was the song he pointed out to the GQ interviewer " hear that song? that's kissland... but i learned how to make it better"
Either Starry Eyes or ITSE?
always assumed it was sacrifice
Yeah I assumed the same... Because it sounds like what Wanderlust wanted to be... Groovy and with the vocal harmonies. Except Sacrifice is way more tight with both elements... And he literally says "sacrifice" in Wanderlust
Hereâs a debate.. whatâs his best intro?
Between Alone Again, High For This and Professional for me

Professional for me, GOD ITâS SO GOOD

Professional is one of the first songs I'd show to someone who said Abel isn't a great songwriter (assuming he wrote or co-wrote it). Lyrically, even on the surface, it's paints a gorgeous and melancholy picture of a s***worker and her life - and then add on the parallels to his own career at that point and its undeniably his best written opener. And the production ofc just f***s lmao
