To this day I have no idea how Dawn flopped.
My best guess is that people wanted After Hours 2 and got mad when that’s not what the project was.
Even still, that album is amazing on its own

Ya I think AH is my favorite as of right now. I really hope this last one takes that spot. AH is his darkest album content wise.

For real, the first time I heard AH, I was actually taken aback by how dark it was initially.
Like, damn, I wasn’t sure he’d ever go that dark after his big pop breakthrough, lol

I do think that it could have benefited from releasing later in 2022 than it did. Like you said, AH was still huge at the time, and some people might have felt like they had enough Weeknd atm already and not even checked it out

Good, sober is best. But if it doesn't make you paranoid or anything it's fun at times. When this album drops Im def smoking for this. No way I will be sober for the finale. But ya kids don't do d**** no matter how good the weeknd makes it sound 😎.

To me Abel’s music still produces that same one day feeling even if it’s not the same music anymore, no other artist does that but Abel does
