To this day I have no idea how Dawn flopped.
My best guess is that people wanted After Hours 2 and got mad when thatâs not what the project was.
Even still, that album is amazing on its own
Ya I think it was the vibe switch, and it was a life in review so not much of a story like AH.
Ya I think AH is my favorite as of right now. I really hope this last one takes that spot. AH is his darkest album content wise.
For real, the first time I heard AH, I was actually taken aback by how dark it was initially.
Like, damn, I wasnât sure heâd ever go that dark after his big pop breakthrough, lol
His best album.
I think itâs either that or Kiss Land.
Itâs too close to tell for me personally, tbh

Lack of a roll out + After Hours was still smashing it commercially

Be careful. You will get attacked for not mentioning Dawn

Yeah, that makes sense.

When I got to Until I Bleed Out, halfway thru I was like no f***ing way, it def hit me for a moment. Romeo and Juliet at its finest musically.
Faith
After Hours
The Morning
Pretty
Kiss Land
Wbu
thought you would have Often in there
The Morning
The Party & The After party
IFIC
I Was Never There
Faith
in that order
niggas are annoying atp
You choose what to get annoyed at.
Abel has been on about as much trap production as any other style he's done. If the fans like it who are you to complain about what others want to hear?

I do think that it could have benefited from releasing later in 2022 than it did. Like you said, AH was still huge at the time, and some people might have felt like they had enough Weeknd atm already and not even checked it out

Often is great, a lil too repetitive for me personally though. I was never there close too

The repeating is meant to be listened to high lol

Weeknd was all you heard at that time, dropping another album at that moment was dumb
The repeating is meant to be listened to high lol
Stopped smoking a few years back ⌠coincidentally I havenât gone back to it much since then

Good, sober is best. But if it doesn't make you paranoid or anything it's fun at times. When this album drops Im def smoking for this. No way I will be sober for the finale. But ya kids don't do d**** no matter how good the weeknd makes it sound đ.
Both singles are going be completely recontextualized within the album and everyone ITT is going to feel very silly
like always

Just this. Blinding Lights and Save Your Tears were still going crazy on the charts. People really werenât expecting or wanting a new Weeknd album that soon

Like he says in the crowd
Take me to a time
When I was young (ignore cos I still am)
And my heart could take the d**** and heartache without loss
Idk man I just bawled my eyes out to Take Me Back To L.A, Hardest To Love, Scared To Live, Out Of Time, The Crowd & Runaway
To me Abelâs music still produces that same one day feeling even if itâs not the same music anymore, no other artist does that but Abel does
Honorable mention: After Hours
Iâm talking about this current rollout.
I like the last album

Yep. Only fans wanted new music really and truly
Both singles are going be completely recontextualized within the album and everyone ITT is going to feel very silly
I agree.
I was a little worried initially, but after relistening to the first two parts of the trilogy, I trust Able fully.
He was making masterful moves with those two, and I donât believe he just âlost itâ suddenly so quickly
Weâre all sorry to hear that
I never thought he would need a feature to get a hit, but here we are.
