so did he just drop the entire like artistic concept he had going from After Hours & Dawn FM? I've been extremely confused by the context of this album despite everything public saying it's connected to the triology
Timeless and Dancing in The Flames sound like they're from different albums. aesthetic is all over the place this time around.and MVs are really generic too
even based on the live performance the lyrical content seems pretty inconsistent vs the past 2 (especially with how directly connected everything on After Hours was)
really weird artistic decisions here

Weâre theorizing that the âstoryâ will be picked up again on the next single, but I, at least, have been kinda confused and a bit disappointed by the music videos this time around too
I think we are going to get a regular music video for the next single, in addition to the Apple VR thing.
I think it will follow the theme and premise of the Apple VR experience, but be adjusted to work for a traditional viewing experience

I think it will make sense once itâs all out. Canât see him fumbling the ending

It would be insane if he did given how much thought went into it so far

This man dropped Heartless and Blinding Lights within 48 hours of each other and yâall in here saying that Timeless and Dancing in the Flames sound like two separate albums

1000%
whole era just seems really unfocused to me so far, but yeah, let's see how it plays out
Idk, I kinda like it
I agree it doesnât mean too much due to the way they calculate it (just one feature and youâre calculated as a listener for a month) but I still think itâs useful in being able to tell just how many different people an artist can reach.
I wish they had a similar âfan countâ stat that counted if you were following them mixed with how often you listen to them, but I can only image what that would do to the mental health of up and comers; so maybe itâs good they donât have it.
On a similar note, I feel like all these metrics being tracked and available is a double edged sword.
It probably helps artists know where to tour and stuff, but I feel like art shouldnât be turned into stats like that. Idk.
