    It quite literally is

….it literally isn’t but okay then.

there’s 16+ songs on the album, it wouldn’t fit on 1 LP, we know several songs are over 5 minutes. Making it impossible for it to be a singular LP attached to the album. I don’t know what math you’re doing but it’s not the correct math 🤣

you're in agreement there. but the gist is that abel might be scamming and the vinyl ain't the full album we're gonna get friday

Dog did you not read a word of my post?

The first pressing will not contain the entire album: it is only 1LP.

    Never said this.

I said that LP amount is determined by the runtime of an album, not how many tracks there are.

So for instance, if there is a 20 track album that is somehow 30 minutes total, that album will only be 1LP on vinyl. On the flip side, if you have an album that is only 10 songs but 55 minutes in length, then it will be 2LP on vinyl, like Kiss Land.

In the case for Hurry Up Tomorrow, what “First Pressing” presumably means is that this first edition of the vinyl will not include the entire album, there will be songs left off of the vinyl that are on the streaming version of the album.

We’ve seen this phenomenon recently with albums like Pink Friday 2, Utopia, Cowboy Carter, and Mixtape Pluto. The original vinyl pressings of these albums all had altered or shorter tracklists than what ended up officially releasing on streaming, and then later down the line a “final” pressing of the vinyl was released with the updated / complete tracklist.

People keep looking to the vinyl length of Hurry Up Tomorrow for clues about how long the overall album will be, but that has nothing to do with it. These pressings are purposefully and specifically getting notated as ”First Pressings” because they will not be the complete album. The complete album will get pressed onto vinyl months down the line after the album has been out for a while.

If this leaked tracklist is real, then the First Pressing vinyl will have a different, shorter tracklist, because there is no way The Weeknd made 19 songs that are under 35 minutes in length total. 35 minutes is around the standard length for 1LP.

It is 100% confirmed that the First Pressing vinyl is only 1LP.

It is also basically 100% confirmed that the full album will be around 16-20 tracks.

Which leads to the obvious conclusion: that the First Pressing will not contain the entire album

This is correct, even the latest big Sean album also did this in addition to the albums you listed.

Yeah I read this, unlikely he would do that. We’ve already seen ads with 2 LPs shown, Amazon has mentioned 2 LPs as well.

No… it does not. The only product that says that is the Amazon T-Shirt bundle, and it’s most likely an error. The standard version of the CD on Amazon says 1 CD, go and check yourself.

The vinyl on Amazon also says 1LP.

The Target ad literally says “1LP” on the sticker.

And it’s being sold everywhere for $16: the standard price of a 1LP album.

It is 100% guaranteed that this First Pressing vinyl will only be 1LP, which then guarantees that it will not contain the entire album.
