Since English is not my first language I need some help what’s the overal narrative ( story ) behind this album besides closing the weeknd chapter. Dawn fm was pugatory what’s the concept behind this?

Seeking forgiveness and turning to god

letting go of regret and becoming a better person

the last track especially, he is pleading to go to Heaven

relates to me in my spiritual journey man - albeit i am not christian - its hard to let go of regret, but thats what you need to have faith. the ability to recognise your faults, face them, and let go.

He's closing the Weeknd saga. Next album will be from Tedros Tedros

Considering the final lines and the fact he mentions that a couple of times - reconciliation with the fact he used The Weeknd persona and the fame and the lifestyle that came with it to cope with the fact he grew up without a father and always felt incomplete. With the reconciliation comes acceptance of himself - thus The Weeknd is no more, only Abel is here.

There's not an overarching concept like there is on Dawn FM, beside just being a final send off for The Weeknd and that's the main theme, I feel like.

It also helps that the album flows so well with the outros and intros that it's a very sonically cohesive piece of music, you don't really need an in-your-face concept when that happens, IMO.
