I like those albums more than AH and Dawn. They felt realer if that makes sense
they have great songs which shot him into being a megastar don't get me wrong but as albums they're not really all there compared to this trilogy
i wonder how good abeâs production skills are tbh
dunno but he's been doing the MJ imagining thing since kiss land so it's that + he is great at keyboards. he's been credited on them since AH on every track.
Idk if I agree but that's an interesting take
Michael was a genius because he perfected his sound every album theme and switched it up every time.
My Michael friends love yet would yearn for more Michael songs that sound like whatâs on Off The Wall
it would be interesting in another universe where Michael was making I Canât Help It/Rock With You/Off The Wall (title track)
In three separate projects,
And I think Abel has done this in his own way
Hope that make sense
Why?
Songs just have a lot of unsurprising, uninteresting melodies and watered down production
Feels like Abel's run out of steam to some degree
Sort of a slog
Need a 2025 Trilogy cover
think one was posted ITT a while ago
it's insane the little sidestep he had with bbtm and starboy but it had to be done to get where we are
also insane calling those a sidestep
bro had to run it up to be his best self at the highest level

WHAT
what did you think of this man
This album - it's perfect for me I travel and trek a lot, these songs are perfect for my solitude as I ponder about life lol.
As I'm growing older I've stopped comparing songs or albums it just kills the joy, right now i'm sitting back and embracing it as it is and loving it.
Looking back - every song every album and every artist he collaborated with made him a better artist and led the foundation to achieve his vision and I'm glad we witnessed him to get here.
VOICES WILL TELL ME THAT I SHOULD CARRY OOOOON

I feel the same way, glad to have shared these moments over the years..14 years and it still feels the same
only on my second listen, so Iâm behind the zeitgeist but I canât f***ing sing has to be a subtle reference to HOB days⌠lots of rumours he couldnât sing live before Mod Club.
XO crew weâve come a long way
be careful turning off the (sound check) on AM, it introduced some distortion on the drums which wasn't there at all.
what song does that synth that comes in halfway through big sleep remind me of? is it just i dont wanna know but slower or is it something else

That's how you know he's special
Even this deep in the game he's giving us these moments.
We all are about to make so many amazing memories to this wonderful album
Bro really said watered down production lmao
It's certainly glittery, and going for something epic. But it's also empty, derivative, and sorely lacking a sense of dynamics.

this exactly how I feel (even though its starting to grow on me)
not a single chorus getting stuck in my head or super interesting beat apart from sao paulo

Ohh I see what you're saying now.
Both Mike and the Weeknd seem to have gotten their process down pat
